We added a special
feature when building Cornerstone’s website.
Humanity
The
Short
Story
When Cornerstone, a specialist healthcare provider, came to us, we could immediately see areas for big technical improvements, and importantly - tonal improvements.
We built their site and their brand at the same time.

The
Long
Story
Working across several large locations in Hampshire, Surrey and Bristol, Cornerstone specialise in supporting adults of all ages with complex health needs. Conveying sensitivity, passion and humanity are key for Cornerstone, their services are broad and inclusive.
The old website leaned heavily on bold reds and oranges, as well as over-edited images, creating a tone that felt harsh and outdated. The website was unintentionally painting them as a traditional elderly care provider — not the message they wanted to send.
Collaboration at the core
Having had mixed experiences with previous agencies, Cornerstone were looking for a clear, more synergic process.
We started by aligning on a detailed site map and content structure, making sure everyone was on the same page before jumping into design and development.
Collaboration at every stage enabled us to deliver on-brand tonality in everything from content to copy, delivering it an exceptionally fast 9 weeks.

A unique approach - a unique result.
Cornerstone’s website gave us the perfect opportunity to put our unique Drupal approach to the test. It allowed us combined the best of both worlds: the flexibility of a full custom build, and an easy-to-use content editing experience for the client.
Thanks to the detailed nature of our design system, we were able to quickly implement Cornerstone’s brand values while meeting accessibility standards.
The aggressive reds of the old site made way for calming greens, better reflecting the welcoming, human side of Cornerstone’s work. We updated the copy across the site accordingly too.
The
Results
The result is a website that performs exceptionally well, with strong scores for performance and accessibility.
More than that, Cornerstone now present themselves and their brand to their audiences through a visual identity and website design that truly reflect who they are. We think that’s something every website should have built-in.
